Step Beyond the Classroom: Explore Global Partnerships in Action

Join this interactive session to connect with global challenges like climate change, social justice, and cultural diversity — not as distant ideas, but through the lived experiences of partners from the Global South.

Discover the tools and resources available in Kiel to support your involvement in existing global partnerships — or learn how you can start your own if you haven’t yet. Whether you’re already engaged or just curious, this event will show you how global partnerships create real impact.
Global partnerships are more than learning — they’re about building bridges, challenging assumptions, and empowering us to work together for a fairer, more sustainable future. Connect, reflect, and ignite your role as a global citizen ready to make a difference.

Why join?

• Learn about resources in Kiel and Schleswig Holstein to support your global partnership projects
• Meet other students and share experiences of local and global engagement
• Turn global issues into personal and practical action
• Build solidarity and contribute to a just, sustainable world
Get ready to engage, challenge, and grow — together.

Goals:

• Participants will gain a comprehensive overview of existing global partnerships, funding opportunities, and resources available in Kiel (from BEI, CAU and the City) to support and expand their engagement.
• The workshop offers a platform for students to connect, exchange experiences, ideas, and best practices related to local and global engagement.
• Empower action: Participants will be encouraged to understand global challenges as personal areas of action and to actively contribute to sustainable solutions both locally and internationally.
