Imani Tafari-Ama (* 1. August 1960 in Manchester Parish) ist eine jamaikanische Kulturanthropologin, Autorin und Kuratorin. Sie lehrte von 2004 bis 2015 an der University of the West Indies in Mona (Jamaika) unter anderem in den Bereichen Feminismus, Rastafari und Kulturelle Entwicklung. 2017 kuratierte sie am Flensburger Schifffahrtsmuseum die Ausstellung Rum, Schweiß und Tränen, welche bundesweit im Hinblick auf die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit dem Dreieckshandel für Aufmerksamkeit sorgte.

Dr. Imani Tafari-Ama is a distinguished Jamaican cultural anthropologist, author, and curator (born August 1, 1960) specializing in Afro-Caribbean history, gender studies, and Rastafari. She taught at the University of the West Indies (Mona) from 2004 to 2015, and is known for her work on post-colonialism, community development, and, notably, as the curator of the "Rum, Sweat and Tears" exhibition in Germany. The exhibition was shown at the Flensburg Maritime Museum in 2017 and attracted attention throughout Germany due to its critical examination of the triangular trade.
